报告人简介:
Khuram Rashid is a Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering and Design, Faculty of Civil Engineering, at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. He received his PhD from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan. He has completed his postdoctoral study at Guangdong University of Technology (2017 – 2019). His research interests include strengthening of reinforced concrete structures with cementitious and non-cementitious materials, the development of sustainable materials, and the development of geopolymer-based construction materials (aggregates, concrete, and brick). He has supervised 25 master students and one PhD student, and currently supervising 2 PhD students. He has published more than 40 SCI papers with more than 1200 citations.
报告简介:
UN defined 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs), and many goals can be achieved by making green materials. The comprehensive framework has been made, and it has been reported that 13 goals can be obtained through green materials. Therefore, the approach towards making green materials has a dire need. In this lecture, concrete was first made sustainable by changing proportion for specific targeted details, and a decision matrix was developed that can be used for the multicriteria analysis. Afterward, the sustainability of concrete increases by replacing conventional aggregate with recycled/waste aggregates. A comprehensive framework has been developed, integrating technical-environmental-economic performance through multicriteria analysis. Furthermore, the framework was extended by adding: durability in the technical criterion of the framework, life cycle assessment in environmental measure, and life cycle cost in the Economic standard. At last, the multicriteria analysis is employed on the big data to select better options for making green materials. For example, the prioritization of calcined clay has been explained for developing limestone-calcined clay cement (LC3).
